    Do you know what’s great? Making handmade things. Do you know what’s great? Making handmade things. Wanna know what’s also great? Receiving handmade things. My husband’s grandmother made us this runner for our table as well as place mats, perfect for this season. Now, having a crazy 2 year old means no runner or place mats on the table, but the runner fits perfectly on our new cabinet. Makes the space even more cozy

I used scarp fabric to make this patch work fabric & used the #sardinepillow sewing pattern by @woollypetals.     Well, this took a turn. This yarn certainly didn’t Well, this took a turn. This yarn certainly didn’t look like this a few months ago… RIP Jenny Jacket. Currently working on knitting up the #mathildasweater by @strikkevorin in patons classic worsted wool (blue) and @briggslittle heritage in red (the lobster). The pattern calls for a bulkier yarn, but I didn’t want a crazy over sized sweater so instead, I chose a worsted weight yarn to work with. I’ve already had to frog this project 3 times because of mistakes, especially the colourwork and I mean… the biggest frog of all was the old sweater. Also a peek at both projects, both knitting & painting our dining room. I always forget how much I dislike painting walls until I’m 1 coat down. It’ll all be worth it, can’t wait to see the dining room finally come together. #knitting #briggsandlittle #fishermenfall #knittingofinstagram
    I can’t believe I used to hate this place. Growin I can’t believe I used to hate this place. Growing up on the east coast, you’re always told there’s something better out there. More fun things to try or better opportunities elsewhere. However, growing up & spending more time exploring your home province just does something to you. It’s made me fall back in love with my home. I could never live in a land locked province, the ocean has a tight hold on me. I just never realized it. 🌊
